Taurean's born today share their birthday with a Nobel Prize winner for Medicine, Ronald Ross, who after falling ill with malaria in 1897, used hisTaurean determination to study the disease and discover the malarial parasite in mosquito's salivary glands. He was also involved in the search for ways to prevent malaria.
Another determined Taurean born today in 1937 is Trevor Baylis, who in response to the need to communicate information about AIDS to the people of Africa, invented the wind-up radio. The radio does not need either batteries or an electrical source but instead stores energy in a spring, which is used to power the electrical generator and work the radio, thus allowing broadcasts to be heard around the continent.
Taureans have a creative side to their personalities, which has been used in the careers of twenty two times Grammy award winner singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder, as well as another musician and member ofFleetwood Mac, Danny Kirwan.
Your Horoscope for 13th May
If you have been making plans (and as a Taurean you probably will have) then you should be satisfied to see many things come to fruition today. Don't let your pride give you a superiority complex though- just because you are determined, focussed, practical and creative, doesn't mean that your other non-Taurean friends don't have good qualities too. If someone frustrates you or lets you down, remind yourself of what other qualities they possess that you don't. Patience, perhaps?
