Most of Hardy's books showed his characters struggling against their circumstances, passions and tragedy in the semi-fictional English county of Wessex.

Sutcliffe was diagnosed by four psychiatrists as a paranoid schizophrenic and is currently serving life imprisonment in Broadmoor Hospital.   Don't worry though, most Gemini 'double' personalities are simply an expression of their free and complex characters.
